All aspects of family planning is offered at the practice, including coil fitting, contraceptive implants and sterilisation counselling.

Examinations are offered to all new patients. We run Asthma and Diabetic Clinics by appointment. We are also keen to give all our patients who smoke as much help as possible. Please ask at your consultation with the doctor or practice nurse for information and support.

Annual flu immunisation is offered to all patients over the age of 65, and those at risk. This is not done in the practice.

Development and health checks are given by the Health Visitors and Doctors. Appointments are sent out by the Health Visitors.

We recommend full immunisation of all pre-school children. They are performed by the Health Visitors.

All women aged 20-60 are offered a smear test every three years. You can make an appointment with the practice nurse, or with Dr Mitchell.

The community midwife holds regular antenatal clinics on Thursdays at the surgery.

We undertake regular blood testing of patients on warfarin, Levothyroxine, Lithium and arthritis drugs.

All GP practices are contracted to provide essential services, that is, basic treatment of ill people. We also provide the management of chronic medical conditions such as asthma, cancer, chronic kidney disease, chronic bronchitis, demetia, depression, diabetes, epilepsy, heart problems, high blood pressure, stroke, thyroid problems, and mental health problems. We can also help with stopping smoking.
